Project Spotlight: Double Decker Arts Festival
Pioneer Productions has had the pleasure of filming the Double Decker Festival in Oxford, Mississippi for the past couple of years, and each time it’s been an incredible experience.
Our favorite part is definitely the music lineups—there’s always an amazing mix of artists bringing energy and soul to the stage—but honestly, every aspect of the festival is awesome. From mouthwatering Southern favorites like Taylor Grocery, Moe’s Original BBQ, and Fergndan’s Wood Fired Pizza to treats from local popsicle crafters like Oxsicles and MemPops, the Double Decker Festival is packed with over 20 local food vendors serving up something for everyone around the Square. The arts scene is just as lively, with more than 100 unique art vendors from near and far—each one offering original, handmade creations ranging from jewelry and home decor to paintings and beyond, filling the downtown with color, creativity, and one-of-a-kind finds.
Looking back on our time at Double Decker, we’ve gotten to film some incredible experiences—from Coach Lane Kiffin’s surprise appearance to electric sets by Kingfish, Ole 60, Grace Potter, and Brittany Howard. Each year brings its own standout moments, and it’s always a thrill to be right in the heart of the action.
For Visit Oxford, we deliver a polished content package every year: a 15-second highlight cut in vertical format, plus longer 1-minute edits in both vertical and horizontal styles—perfect for sharing across social and web platforms, and designed to capture the festival’s unique spirit from every angle. All of the filming and editing for Double Decker is produced by Pioneer owners, RD & Ashley Chisholm.
