Healthcare recruitment video series
Over the past five years, we’ve had the privilege of an ongoing partnership with the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) to produce recruitment videos for their many residency and fellowship programs. Each year brings new collaborations, and this past year, we were excited to work closely with the Department of Surgery to create videos for all eight of their residency and fellowship programs.
With the help of their fantastic business and marketing developer, Embry, we spent several months coordinating interviews and shoots. These projects require flexibility and careful planning to accommodate the incredibly busy— and ever-changing—schedules of residents and fellows. We’re always happy to make it work, because the results are well worth it.
Throughout this series, we interviewed dozens of residents and fellows, capturing not only their stories but also b-roll footage of their work in simulation labs and clinics. We did our best to make it feel as authentic as possible while not utilizing any real patients. The goal of these videos is to help UMMC connect with prospective residents and fellows—offering an authentic look at their training environment and the people who make it special.
Here are a few of the recent videos from the project below!
We also recently produced an updated video for the Internal Medicine Residency Program, focusing on the close‑knit relationships and mentorship that define their approach to training compassionate, capable physicians.
We’re deeply grateful to everyone who made these productions possible. It’s an honor to help UMMC’s programs share their stories and continue attracting the best and brightest physicians to Mississippi. In our own small way, we feel that by doing our best work on these projects, we’re helping the patients of Mississippi, too—by supporting the recruitment of exceptional doctors who will train and serve here.
Our connection to UMMC is also a personal one. My wife and co-owner of Pioneer, Ashley, received a transplant at UMMC, where she was given exceptional, state‑of‑the‑art care. We’re incredibly thankful to have such a world-class medical institution right here in our state.
We’re proud of this partnership, grateful for the trust UMMC places in us, and excited to keep telling the stories that help bring people together in healing and service.
